Root for NetBSD/Linux libc 6

Hi!

I'm new to this list, and I'm not actually a root user yet; however, it
looks like a very nice system and I would like to use it.

Unfortunately, I'm facing technical problems:

We are running NetBSD and Linux here; where NetBSD is out preferred
OS.

The Linux binary crashes on NetBSD (which has a Linux emulation mode that
usually works quite fine).

The Linux demo programs run fine using the Linux library binary.
When I try to compile example files on our Linux PC, the linker complains
(and he is right about this!) that the Root libs were built using libc 5,
and we are using libc 6 (and I have reasons why I do not want to change
this).

So I'd like to recompile the libraries on both machines. Because there
is no Makefile, I haven't got the slightest idea how to do this.

Could anyone gibe me a hint about which files I have to compile and link
to build which libraries?

Thanks in advance.
