Thanks for reporting this problem. I have now put the warning
on the distribution page for the two versions supported on Alphas.
Do not use the Root graphics editor on Alphas with the current
version 2.00. The problem has been identified as a side effect
of the new GUI classes in the Root class TControlbar.
The problem will be fixed in the next iteration of 2.0
