Hi Carlos, the problem is that histograms can only be drawn in TPads (TCanvas being a kind of TPad). I plan to make a TCanvas in which it will be possible to size the embedded TGCanvas container such that other GUI elements can be inserted. For the time being it is not yet very easy to do since you can not get a handle to the TGCanvas from the TCanvas. Basically you have to change TRootCanvas::CreateWindow so the canvas container does not stretch over full x and y. This can be done by inheriting from TRootCanvas. However, it is not yet simple to bind a TCanvas to the newly created class. Cheers, Fons.
