This part of the installation procedure has never been tested, simply because we do not have access to an Hitachi machine. If you want to try an installation, I would suggest the following steps. ftp hpbrun.cern.ch (anonymous cd public/root get README_install_root bin get root.cmz Have a look at the README file and contact me (not this list) for additional help Rene Brun
