It is our intention to have a scheme with old/pro/new as soon as possible. So far, we had a space problem in the AFS NA49 quota. I will try to install this mechanism for the next version. We also hope to provide Makefiles for whose intending to recompile Root with different options (debug, etc) with the next iteration. Apologies if you had to suffer from our tough procedure when releasing new versions so far. We strongly recommend introducing dependencies on the Root include files in your own Makefile. Rene Brun
