Hi,
I've updated to Root 2.00/08 on a Solaris 2.5.1 system and while
rebuilding my root extensions I get

ld.so.1: rootcint: fatal: relocation error: symbol not found: regcmp:
referenced in /isdc/software/root/lib/libCint.so

when running the following command

rootcint -f ISDCImageCint.cxx -c -I/isdc/software/ftools/ftools_41/SunOS_5.5_sparc/include -I../dal/ ISDCImage.h \
        ISDCImageLinkDef.h

regcmp seems to be in /usr/ccs/lib/libgen.a which isn't dynamically
loaded.

uname -a produces

SunOS isdcul7 5.5.1 Generic sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-1

and I'm running the root in

root_v2.00.SunOS.5.6.tar.gz

Is it possible that this is the Solaris 2.6 version and that there is
no version of root 2.00/08 for Solaris 2.5.1? regcmp seems to be in
/usr/lib/libc.so on a Solaris 2.6 system.

cheers

bruce
