  This means you have an obsolete version of MSVCRT.DLL.
  ROOT is compiled with VC++ 5.0 and one needs that DLL from this 
  version. Usually it is installed with some "third" party packages.

  The current "light" installation of ROOT doesn't check whether the 
present version of Microsoft DLL'a are up-to-date and it doesn't 
update things though (for that some third party installation package 
like InstallShield should bought).

  I am goinf to ask Fons to upload this DLL on the ROOT ftp/web site 
to re-destribute.
