Hi Steve,

   in principle rootinfo@root.cern.ch is for that. However, till
now we only announced via roottalk but from now on we'll also use
rootinfo. Rootinfo is only for the developers to announce
new versions of ROOT or to inform about showstopper bugs. Traffic will
be low. Everybody who signed up via our ROOT users web page is automatically
on rootinfo.
