A (undocumented?) trick: Once you have displayed your plot, click on
File -> Save As canvas.C
and out comes a macro with much more graphics options 
than you probably wrote in your own macro.
So you just have to edit the color numbers.
If you want to prepare a publication plot, you also must set
canvas->SetBorderSize(0);
