Hi rooters,

some time ago I asked the followig Question:

> we are presently writing a 3D offline event display using root and
> the x3d viewer. Our questions therefor are:
>
> 1.) How is it possible to change the default
> X3D background colour ("black") into another one.

The answer from Valery Fine was the following:

With OpenGL view the background of GL window is the same as
background of the "original TPad" object. So one can change it
easily.

*******
Unfortunatly I got the impression its not as easy.
As we are working on a Sun Unix system, we do not use OpenGL.
So I tried to figure out if there is a way to address the
background color of the X3D-window with some settings in the
".Xdefaults" file of my local account.
Unfortunatly I didnt find any information in the documentation of root,
how to address root (X3D) from the ".Xdefaults" file.
Maybe one can give me some further information.

Thanks,

Iztok
