Draw Definition Question

Hi ROOTers,

    I have been trying to add global variables to a program.  Which do not appear to be seen  by the subroutines (i.e. in CINT
        Error: No symbol variable in current scope  FILE:/test.C LINE:226)
. Compilation was attempted to assist in locating the bug  (is there a way in CINT ?) which produced
        Error: ntuple is not defined.
indicating the following line is in error
        ntuple->Draw("MMep>>hit",CutString);
Numerous (but not enough)  things have been tried to define "ntuple".
It is suspected that the lack of definition of "ntuple" is causing "memory" mismatch.
How does one define "ntuple" in this case ?
    Sincere thanks,
