Hello, what is exactly your development setup? With Debian/Hamm you can still have the altdev libc5 development system or egcs-1.1 with a little effort. I personally use egcc from egcs-2.90.29 and the same versions of g++/g77 on libc6 system with Root versions prepared for RH5.0/5.1 (ending with egcs.tar.gz). Note that what you invoke as gcc is probably standard gcc on both Hamm and Slink for safe kernel compilation. Apart from this cannot be the problem due to missing #pragma link C function hello; in you LinkDef.h? Or is it not needed when C function is declared extern "C" as in your code? Best regards, Jiri
