compiling root with g++

Dear Rooters,

I would like to build ROOT 2.20 using g++ for decunix. There exist a g++ 
compiled Root 2.0 version for decunix, but there is no corresponding
Makefile in the src directory.  Eventually, I would like build ROOT 2.0
with g++ for SGI and SunOS_5.6 inaddition to decunix.

Will the SGI and decunix makefiles that were used to build the g++ version of 
Root 2.0 work for Root 2.2? If so can they be made available?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
