Dear Root team, I find the documentation about the new ROOT GUI classes : http://root.cern.ch/cgi-bin/print_hit_bold.pl/root/hepvis98/newgui.html?GUIC lasses#first_hit extremely scarce. Also the descriptions associated with the classes TGMainFrame, TG... is very very short. The results is that many questions arise, among which I will select 3 : (1) - Why do you give the label "GUI" to TGMainFrame, TG..., and not to TCanvas ? What do you get more with TGMainFrame ? (2) - Do these new classes work under Windows NT ? (Looking at the questions on Roottalk, it seams that they were certainly not working on NT in the past, but what is the status now ?). If not, have you a guess for the date where they will be available for NT ? (3) - It seams, according to the example given, that these new TG classes impose a new main program. Does it prevent to make shared libraries as before ? Thanks in advance. F.X. Gentit DAPNIA/SPP CEN Saclay tel : 01 69 08 30 38
