Dear rooters, I have just compiled ROOT version 2.22/04 on a Redhat Linux 6.0. When I tried running it for the first time, below is what happens: [root@localhost /root]# root Warning in <TGClient::GetColorByName>: couldn't retrieve color LightYellow ******************************************* * * * W E L C O M E to R O O T * * * * Version 2.22/04 4 June 1999 * * * * You are welcome to visit our Web site * * http://root.cern.ch * * * ******************************************* FreeType Engine v1.1 used to render TrueType fonts. CINT/ROOT C/C++ Interpreter version 5.14.4, May 22 1999 Type ? for help. Commands must be C++ statements. Enclose multiple statements between { }. root [0] What does the warning imply and how do I fix it? Also, when I type .dir or .ls, the contents of the present directory are not shown. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Allister Levi C.
