hi all, hi Rene & Fons,

every now and then when i save a canvas in ps/eps format
  i get corrupted files.

1.) the error message from gv is (if that helps you => god you're a guru):

Error: /stackunderflowGNU Ghostscript: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
  in --image--
  Operand stack:
      1616 1 --nostringval-- --nostringval--
  Execution stack:
      %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval--
      --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval--
      --nostringval--
      --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop
      .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2
      %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 1 74
      --nostringval-- %for_pos_int_continue 2 1 74
      --nostringval-- %
Error: PostScript interpreter failed in main window.

2.) if i try to find something that is common to the renitent
      canvases:  a.) they all contain a graph/hist with >= 1 logarithmic
axis (YES i know ln 0 = NaN) and b.) they all contain (filled)
      TGraphs.

3.) though terribly inadequate for lines & rectangles: gif exports do
      always work (not surprising, certainly)

  ideas/comments/hints ?
