Hello everybody, I am considering modifying the TMaterial class in ROOT in order to add quantities of interest to gamma-ray astronomers, e.g., refractive index, optical absorption coefficients, etc. At the same time I would like to propagate these changes upwards, i.e., TGeometry should be aware of these changes to TMaterial. Is there any easy way of telling ROOT to use my TMaterial class rather than the built-in one or do I also have to extend TGeometry and TROOT (for the global list of geometries). It seems not too difficult to go ahead and extend all the classes, but I think there should be an easier way. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Regards, Gora
