rootcint: command not found

Hello,

I am very new to this computing environment and I have what I am sure is a very
simple problem. I am trying to generate a simple dictionary from one of the
tutorials and I am getting the following error message:

Generating dictionary ...
make: rootcint: Command not found
make: *** [/home/u1/gbt/eventdict.C] Error 127

If anyone has any possible solutions, I would appreciate hearing them.
