short question concerning linking error message

Hi,
I have a medium size program which is producing a ROOT
TTree - essentially an ntuple. All parts compile now, 
but at the linking stage I get the error message

  Event.o: In function `Eventobject::Eventobject(void)':
  Event.o(.text+0xc7): undefined reference to `Eventobject virtual table'

Eventobject is my class of events which should be stored in
the TTree, and in Event.cxx (which is compiled to Event.o)
the constructor is defined.

I tested the whole ROOT-part of the program in a smaller
application and it worked perfectly fine.

Could anybody give me a hint where I chould look for the
error?
