Hi rooters! I have just upgraded root to v 2.3 on sun solaris and got the following: 1. It doesn't work with CC -compat=4 but well, it compiles with CC5 2. It refuses to link saying ld: (undefined symbol) unsafe_ostream::operator <<(double) -- referenced in /l/cern/root/lib/libHist.so ild: (undefined symbol) _vector_new_ -- referenced in /l/cern/root/lib/libHist.so ild: (undefined symbol) Iostream_init::~Iostream_init(void) -- referenced in /l/cern/root/lib/libHist.so ild: (undefined symbol) _vector_delete_ -- referenced in /l/cern/root/lib/libHist.so ild: (undefined symbol) _pure_error_ -- referenced in /l/cern/root/lib/libHist.so [Hint: try checking whether you are linking with the correct libC] Could you tell me what can be wrong with my libC (what version should it be) and what should I do to get it linked?
