Hi rooters,

I've just built 2.23/07 on my FreeBSD box with egcs-1.1.2 from source
and got undefined symbol errors. Are there something wrong with
dlopen or ld?

What I did was:

% cd $ROOTSYS
% patch < ATTACHED_PATCH
% mv src/GPAD_HelpText.cxx src/GUI_HelpText.cxx
% ./configure
% gmake depend
% gmake freebsd4
% gmake install
% root.exe
dlopen error: /usr/local/root/lib/libGX11TTF.so: Undefined symbol "Init__5TGX11Pv"
Load Error: Dynamic link library /usr/local/root/lib/libGX11TTF.so can not load
