Hi Steve, You may get some answer from people running on both NT and Linux. I just want to mention the following points. - Root files are machine independent and can FTPed or directly accessed in a transparent way. - You can also transfer data bwteeen the two systems by using the socket classes. - Root does not have classes to do sophisticated image processing. If somebody knows about such classes or is planning to develop these classes, let us know.
