If kFALSE, user and passwd are "". The boolean pwhash is set to kTRUE if the returned passwd is to be understood as password hash, i.e. if the 'password-hash' keyword is found in the 'machine' lines; not implemented for 'secure' and the .netrc file. The format of these files are:
