Hi there, There are a couple of alternatives that are available. HP-UX supports something called shared-X which allows multiple HP platforms to share the same X display. Also, I have noticed that HP appears to be one of the only companies supporting the multiple display per workstation. This I have used in some projects to have as many as 4 separate X servers being directed by the same executable. The project had insufficient space on the display surface for all of the displays. I have heard that some graphics drivers are integrated with Linux to serve the same purpose. At one time DEC also had some shareware source for dealing with multiple X servers. I can dig up the code if there is interest. At the risk of over committing myself I would be willing to take this on as an initiative. I would estimate that 6 months for such a utility would be conservative since I can not spend days building it. Regards.
