Hi Stefano,
I can reproduce this problem. I will investigate later.
You can use the following turnaround solution:

instead of
   h->Draw("cont")
do
   pad->SetTheta(89.9);
   pad->SetPhi(0.01);
   h->GetZaxis()->SetLabelOffset(999);
   h->Draw("surf2);
