Hi Thomas,
You can switch between the Root window and the OpenGL window without
closing the OpenGL window (this is not possible with X3D).
You can for example, point and click on the TNodes in the Root window
setting visibility attrributes and colors and see the immediate result
in the OpenGL window.
Look at the HELP button in the top right of the OpenGL canvas.
