Hi All, I can't seem to install v2.25 from the sources onto a solaris machine with gcc 2.95.1. I have installed previous versions using the solarisegcs architecture (with a few mods), but the new installation procedure from CVS (or from the tarball) chokes immediately. I do the following > setenv ROOTSYS /opt/CERN/root_2.25-00/root > cd /opt/CERN/root_2.25-00 > cvs -z3 checkout root > cd root > ./configure solarisegcs > make and get: Makefile:207: cint/main/G__setup.d: No such file or directory Makefile:207: cint/src/libstrm.d: No such file or directory Makefile:207: cint/main/cppmain.d: No such file or directory Makefile:207: utils/src/rootcint.d: No such file or directory Makefile:207: main/src/rmain.d: No such file or directory Makefile:207: main/src/pmain.d: No such file or directory Makefile:207: main/src/h2root.d: No such file or directory Makefile:209: build/dummy.d: No such file or directory g++ -O2 -o bin/rmkdepend g++: No input files make: *** [bin/rmkdepend] Error 1 FWIW: > make --version GNU Make version 3.77, by Richard Stallman and Roland McGrath. Am I forgetting a critical step? Thanks, John
