Thanks for trying to reproduce the problem. I did indeed recompile all my 
sources with the new root, having deleted the old root off my disk. I 
suspect that it may be a DLL mess, but I don't understand how to trace the 
problem. I will try to reduce the problem to a minimal reproducible case 
and post it to roottalk in case you or someone else has the time to help me 
solve it.
