Dear ROOTers, Could you let me know what is the version of xlC (C++ compiler of AIX) which made the pre-compiled binary of ROOT-2.25/03 on ROOT web page? Now I am using AIX version 4.3 and xlC version 5. I tried to compile the source of ROOT-2.25/03. But I got a error at root/cint/src/Apiif.cxx, as follows: "cint/src/Apiif.cxx", line 17.14: 1540-1192 (S) "operator new" must not be declared static in global scope. I also tried the pre-compiled one on the web page. But I could not use TVector2/3 classes, as follows: "/usr/local/root/include/TVector.h", line 105.40: 1540-0040 (S) The text "&" is unexpected. "TMatrixRow" may be undeclared or ambiguous. "/usr/local/root/include/TMatrix.h", line 142.42: 1540-0040 (S) The text "&" is unexpected. "TMatrixDiag" may be undeclared or ambiguous. And root/test/stress crashes after showing ROOTMARKS. Does anybody have informations about the problems? I have been happy during using ROOT on Alpha machines.
