[ROOT] stange behavour of files

Hello,

I have produced a root file. All stuff is running well on Alpha/OSF. I
tried to run it on Linux. The production of the file seems to work well.
But I cannot really read it. If I use the Interpreter to read the file
it works. If I try to do it with a precompiled program the program
crashes with a segmentation violation in (TTree*)->GetEntry(1) (Entry 0
works, but I get nonsense data).

Some idea hwat it is, or how to find out what it could be?
