Hi Dave,
I understood from Fons that the windows versions of ROOT after 2.22/10
have been created without libNew. However, also since 2.22/10 several
problems have appeared when running ROOT on windows machines.
According to Fons this is due to the fact that the system has NOT been
linked against libNew for all dll's.
As far as I understood this is due to uninitialised variables in the windows
interface.
He promised to provide a new ROOT version for windows where again everything
will be linked against libNew. This should remove all the problems.

                                                      Cheers,
                                                       Nick.
