Hi Xavier,
Within the ALICE physics tools I have built conversions between
spherical, cylindrical etc... coordinates into the 3-vector handling
(i.e. positions and vector componenents of various 4-vectors).
In this way one has automatically Lorentz trafos available.
Since I have now also started to work with AMANDA and data from
satellites (BATSE, SAX) I indeed had the intention of extending
this scheme to galactic coord. etc...
Maybe this idea can be of use for you.
