Hi Xavier, Within the ALICE physics tools I have built conversions between spherical, cylindrical etc... coordinates into the 3-vector handling (i.e. positions and vector componenents of various 4-vectors). In this way one has automatically Lorentz trafos available. Since I have now also started to work with AMANDA and data from satellites (BATSE, SAX) I indeed had the intention of extending this scheme to galactic coord. etc... Maybe this idea can be of use for you.
