I got hardware acceleration to work on my machine * Debian GNU/Linux 2.2r3 box * Linux kernel 2.2.17 SMP (I'm not sure about the revision, but something like that) * XFree 3.3.6 (yes, not 4.0.1) * Utah GL libraries and GLX (see http://utah-glx.sourceforge.net). * Matrox G200 On that machine, I can manipulate the NA49 geometry (as in the tutorials) in realtime :-) Cool! This worked out of the box by the way. However, trying the configuration: * Redhat 6.2 * Linux kernel 2.2.16 * XFree 3.3.6 * Utah GL libraries and GLX * Matrox G400 does not work at all i.e., GL rendering is not working (causes the X server to crash in fact). Hmm ... maybe something wrong with the Redhat build, who knows.
