Hi Karl,

I tried your macro with root 3.01.06 and 3.02.02 and found that it
did produce a file test.root that contains a dozen of histogram in
the top directory and another 40 histogram in the Raw_Ge subdirectory.
I was able to access them all in a new root session.

Could you be more specific in what actually failed?
