Valeri,

thanks very much for your help.

Thats true and as a "non unix" windows person I had to
learn that "user friendliness" is the real weak part
of unix :)

Can I ask this additional (some for sure STUPID)
questios ??

What is the famous X11 I do read so often ?Is this a
plattform independent low level graphic system ??? Or
does root use the windows API
(WNDCLASS,DispatchMessage etc.) for windows
applications and X11 only for unix ?? If its used for
both I guess I HAVE TO dig into X11 to understand root
graphics ?

If I DONT create a TCanvas when painting anything,
this is created by default ! So how would I "draw" on
a TPad just in memory to copy the pixmap ?? I guess I
could copy pixmap directly into a QT Canvas ?

Unfortunatley my questin regarding ROOTQT Api was not
aswered. I told that i got the link for the
documentation, but do NOYT know if that only works for
UNIX and I also did not find any code and binaries.
All I have is this link
http://www-linux.gsi.de/~go4/qtroot/doc/index.html.

So IS there any lib or so for this api ???

Joe
