[ROOT] A histogram is not a tree or how do we add?

Rene et al.,

Is there some method for adding many histograms that are in many different
root files?

I have to break my analysis jobs up, so I end up with a set of histograms
from each job which I wish to recombine in the end.

For the n-tuple that's also produced I use TChain, but since a histograms
is not a tree this doesn't work for histograms.

Is the best method just to generate a macro that will add the histograms
by brute force?
