This is a serious > drawback, bacause I can not import and view the resulting graphs in WORD. > Of course you can. For that one needs no GIF format at all. Just click "ALT-Print Screen" and then click "Paste" in your Word document. ROOT Qt interface provide the extra capability to export TCanvas /TPad See: http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRootDownload.html Read: "Q. Where are the new features (vs existent WIN32 implementation)? http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRoot/QtRoot.html#features in there. What about "gif" format , One needs a license to provide this feature (at least from USA). For example if you install Qt ROOT and YOUR (!!!) local version of Qt DLL is provided with "gif" license then TCanvas "Save As" dialog will provide you the "gif" format capability. http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRoot/TQtSaveAsDialog.gif Your "Office" very likely is shipped with the licensed "gif" as well. > Is this correct or am I doing something wrong. As I have pointed out one needs no GIF license to copy the TCanvas/TPad into any office document whatsoever. See picture: http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/~fine/QtRoot/ClipboardCopy.gif Hope this helps.
