Hi,

  Rene's suggestion should help, but with a GeForce 2 you should not
have this problem to begin with. Make sure that you are running in 15 or
16 bit mode and that you have a visual class of TrueColor, 16 planes
available and as default visual. Check with xdpyinfo. If not make sure
that this mode is the default in your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file. It
would be a waste not to get the best out of this graphics card.
