[ROOT] compiling CVS version on SUN

Hi,
I downloaded CVS version on my station SUN SPARC 5.6 whit CC5 compiler;
The problem is that I don't go out the executable program, after
untar the file and make "gmake" I have a lot of many of errors.
I Would like  to know if my Sun don't support this version or if there is
any mistake that I do.
In second option can you help me for compiling.
