Hallo Mike,
I tried to do what you told me. 
Configure did not find a large number of other libs, nevertheless, I tried 
to run make, and it seems that all went ok (well... it had many 
warnings during the compilation ...) until it started with:
 
g++ -O -pipe -Wall -Woverloaded-virtual -fPIC -Iinclude  -D_REENTRANT -o x11/src/GX11Gui.o -c x11/src/GX11Gui.cxx  

as you can see from the errors in the file attached.

What can I do in this case?
