Hello Axel, My experience one can mix VC6 and VC7 compiled DLLs and libraries BUT I could not find a way to use 'NET debugger to debug the code compiled with the code compiled by VC6 with the flag -Z7 (Very this flag was used by ROOT Makefile). The problem is .Net can not find the source file to provide the source-level debug information. One still can debug on the assembler level :-(( Very likely we should change ROOT Makefile to keep the debug information in the dedicated "PDB" files. That both Studio 6 as well as 7 should understand things properly (I hope) Valeri > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch [mailto:owner-roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch] > On Behalf Of Axel Naumann > Sent: Friday, January 31, 2003 7:30 AM > To: GENTIT Francois-Xavier DAPNIA > Cc: 'roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch'; 'Langston, Matthew David' > Subject: Re: [ROOT] Suggestion for official release of Root under Visual > C++.net > > Hi, > > Do we need a dedicated .net binary?
