After closing mozila, I can see the plots from my old scripts.
I can also see the plot generated from test/stress.

  However,
  (1) for the case of stress:
the first plot shows up after a lot of
Error in <RootX11ErrorHandler>: BadAccess (attempt to access private
resource denied) (XID: 0, XREQ: 88)

  (2) for the case of my own scrip,
      the plot is generated correctly.
      However,
      In the plot,
by invoking the menu by clicking the right button of the mouse
I try to do 'set title'.
After I type in the new title, clicking on OK gives me:

Error in <RootX11ErrorHandler>: BadAccess (attempt to access private
resource denied) (XID: 0, XREQ: 88)
Error in <RootX11ErrorHandler>: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
(XID: 0, XREQ: 84)

------------------------------------------------------

I recall I did not have these kinds of problems
  (
killing netscape or mozilla in order to see plot,
incapable of editing a plot interactively
  )
in version 3.01 which is the version I had been using since May 2001.

What has been changed in ROOT
in terms of graphical device support ???

Can I set the 'graphical device environment'
  in my current new root
to be the same as that in the old days ??
If yes, what needs to be changed in where ?
