Hi HP,

  XREQ: 88 is the X11 XFreeColors command, so it is clearly colormap
related. You might have other graphics applications running. Could you
run in debug an put a break point in RootX11ErrorHandler and mail me the
stack. Typically these errors are due to X servers not having enough
resources. The cheapest PCs provide at least 16K colors to their X
servers and have no such problems.
