I'd love to help but ... can you be a /little/ bit more specific ?
Is this raw data a text (ascii) file ? A HBOOK ntuple ? A site-specific 
data acquisition file ?
Hastily-scribbled figures on small pieces of notepaper soaked in coffee ?
