Hi Stanislav,

  I am well aware of this issue. I've asked CERN management what their
position is, but I've not yet gotten a reply. It is impossible to make
such an analysis because for that you have to check every algorithm in
ROOT against several tens of thousands of software patents that have
been issued by the European patent office.

Wait and see.
