Hi Mark, You can ignore the messages like: Makefile:307: gpad/src/TGroupButton.d: No such file or directory This message is printed if the dependency file does not exist. This is the case when you install a class for the first time. I know that this is very confusing and I hope that Fons will improve the Makefile to remove this misleading message. Now, I do not understand why you have a problem with ssh2rpd. Could you run gmake distclean gmake -k and send the output of gmake -k to rootdev@root.cern.ch?
