Tomasz,

The SMOOTH command in PAW was smoothing histograms. The equivalent function
in ROOT is provided by TH1::Smooth

You can also use cubic and quintic splines. See classes TSpline3, TSline5
see $ROOTSYS/tutorials/splines.C
