Hello!

I've seen that there is massive work being done on the ia64/x64-64 ports.
Is there a chance to make root work on a Linux PPC64 system (rs6k)?
I just tried "./configure" and it suggested the target "linuxppcegcs".
Everything seems to compile fine until xrootd is reached where the local
configure script does not know anything about ppc64:

*** Building xrootd/src/xrootd/bin/xrootd...
Options to Xrootd-configure: --ccflavour=gcc --use-xrd-strlcpy
--disable-krb4 --disable-krb5 --enable-echo --no-arch-subdirs
Guessing architecture/compiler:
linux | ppc64 | 2.6.7-gentoo-r13 | ppc_linux | gcc
Architecture not yet supported. Try ./configure --help

Chau,
Henning
