I never said that HDF/HDF5 was not documented. You said that the ROOT file format was not,
and this is wrong. Besides the doc, the main question is: Is HDF5 better than ROOT?
Did you try? Could you point areas where it is superior? and you cannot claim that HDF5 is
more standard than ROOT. There are certainly more petabytes stored in ROOT format
than with HDF5, and also ROOT has far more users.
