There's a HOW-TO referenced in the FAQ of Eclipse on this. Please look up that. Essentially, the question is more in the domain of Eclipse than for ROOT, as ROOT is simple providing libraries and headers, and it's sort of up to you to integrate them into your favorit editor. Note, though, that rootcint might cause a bit of a head-ache.

Of course, if ROOT user has already done it, they could give a pointer or 2.

One common mis-understanding (probably caused by Turbo Pascal) is that an IDE is an execution environment. It's not. The OS the execution environment, and the IDE is "simply" and advanced editor.
